Defend the Sacred - an evening with Winona LaDuke

Join the Green Party of Maricopa County, Tonatierra, Not A Mascot, Arizona Stands with Standing Rock,  Protect Oak Flats, and Protect MOADOG DO'AG (no on 202 loop) as we welcome and host, internationally renowned scholar and activist, Winona LaDuke.  March 24th Friday – Doors open 6 pm. Refreshments will be served. Donation requested at door. Program starts 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm - Networking until 9 pm - LOCATION: 7009 South 10th Street (South Phoenix) Gymnasium - Greenfield Junior High School

About Winona LaDuke
Winona is an award winning, rural development economist and author. LaDuke’s work is primarily in the area of Indigenous Economics & Food and Energy Policy. She lives and works on the White Earth reservation in Minnesota, and is a two time vice presidential candidate with Ralph Nader for the Green Party.
As Executive Director of Honor the Earth, she works nationally and internationally on the issues of climate change, renewable energy, and environmental justice along side Indigenous communities. In her own community, she is the founder of the White Earth Land Recovery Project, one of the largest reservation-based non-profit organizations in the country.
