The Green Party of Maricopa County, in coalition with Tonatierra, No on the 202 loop, Not Your Mascot, Arizona Stands (with Standing Rock) and Protect Oak Flats held a community event on March 24th with close to 300 people in attendance, mostly from indigenous communities around Maricopa County. If you would like to get involved in the fight for environmental justice please contact us at email@example.com. Please enjoy these videos and share with your friends and family.
Indigenous rights are crucial to building a better world. The menacing presence of extractive industries throughout indigenous territories, the systematic violation of treaties and human rights by the US government, and the ongoing environmental destruction - through fracking, pollution of our air and waterways and by oil pipelines threatens everyone’s survival.
These violations have been occurring under both major parties, and the need for a third alternative party that represents people and planet over profits is more important than ever. A party that refuses corporate donor class donations and a party that believes in an economy driven by 100% clean and renewable energy. Although the corporate media hides this fact, most registered voters are neither Democrats nor Republicans and 2/3s of Americans believe that a third party is needed. We are proud to offer an alternative to the two parties of broken treaties, climate change, deportations and bad trade deals.
Please consider registering green and also please consider running as a Green candidate for elected office in 2018. Lets put people and planet over corporate profits and give Arizonians more choices. #livegreen #eatgreen #votegreen
